Barry M. Portnoy
Managing Trustee
Mr. Portnoy has been one of our Managing Trustees since our formation. Mr. Portnoy also serves on the Boards of CommonWealth REIT, Hospitality Properties Trust, Senior Housing Properties Trust, Government Properties Income Trust, the RMR Funds, Five Star Quality Care, Inc. and TravelCenters of America LLC. Prior to devoting his full time to RMR and its affiliated companies in 1997, Mr. Portnoy was a Partner and served as Chairman of the law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP. As a lawyer and businessman, Mr. Portnoy has structured, negotiated and documented over $20 billion of real estate transactions over a 30 year period.
Adam D. Portnoy

Mr. Portnoy has been one of our Managing Trustees since our formation. Mr. Portnoy also serves on the Boards of CommonWealth REIT, Hospitality Properties Trust, Senior Housing Properties Trust, Government Properties Income Trust, and the RMR Funds. Mr. Portnoy currently serves on the Board of
Governors for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts
(NAREIT). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Occidental College. Prior to 2003, Mr. Portnoy held positions as a banker and venture capitalist with the International Finance Corp., a member of the World Bank Group, ABN AMRO and Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette.
Donna D. Fraiche
Independent Trustee
Ms. Fraiche has been an Independent Trustee since 2012 and is a member of the Board’s Audit, Compensation and Nominating and Governance Committees. She also serves on the Board of Five Star Quality Care, Inc. Since 2004, Ms. Fraiche has been a shareholder in the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz and is a member of that firm’s Health Law and Public Policy departments. Ms. Fraiche is also Chair of the Louisiana Health Care Commission and has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Loyola University, among numerous other business and civic responsibilities.
William A. Lamkin
Independent Trustee
Mr. Lamkin has been one of our Independent Trustees since 2012 and is a member of the Board's Audit, Compensation and Nominating and Governance Committees. He also serves on the Board of CommonWealth REIT and Hospitality Properties Trust, among other companies' boards. Mr. Lamkin is currently a partner in Ackrell Capital LLC, an investment bank, and Ackrell & Company, an investment advisory firm. Mr. Lamkin has experience as a financial consultant and previously held positions as a banker with large investment banks.
Jeffrey P. Somers
Independent Trustee
Mr. Somers has been one of our Independent Trustees since 2012 and is a member of the Board's Audit, Compensation and Nominating and Governance Committees. He also serves on the Board of Senior Housing Properties Trust, Government Properties Income Trust and the RMR Funds. Mr. Somers is of Counsel to the law firm of Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, PC of Waltham, MA.
